BASUTOLAND 1925 (POSTMARK) MASERU
South Africa 1d King George V pair, rose-red shade, springbok head watermark, on-piece with distinct MASERU type 9 circular cancel dated 16 NOV 25. Lovely example. Generally fine used.
Note: stamps of Cape of Good Hope were used in Basutoland from 1876 followed, from 1910, by stamps of South Africa. It wasn't until December 1933 that Basutoland issued its own stamps
