5c/3c Lignum Vitae vertical strip of five with obliterator and surcharge printed double (the second strike diagonal). Spectacular, scarce and unrecorded. The middle stamp creased and grubby most probably due to mechanical malfunction during surcharging. Remainder fine. Mint never hinged. SG476avar; SC435var
