50c Abel Tasman National Park single, believed to be from the seventh printing with bluish PVAD gum, missing apple-green (hill on the right). Previously unrecorded with PVAD gum. Fresh and fine. Mint never hinged. SG932a; SC456var; CPP19a(Z)var
Note: numerous printings of the 50c took place. At least eight are identifiable. The first three can be distinguished by shade differences. The first printing has the headland in dull green. The second has the headland in bright emerald-green. The third and subsequent printings have the shore in a yellowish-buff shade compared to the pinkish-buff shade of the first two printings. The first four printings have colourless (PVA) gum. All later printings have bluish (PVAD) gum
